Re: Welsh Government’s response to our flooding recommendations

Welsh Government recently wrote to us in response to our report and recommendations to reduce the impact of flooding on Wales by 2050. The letter is available on our website.

In considering the Welsh Government response, we are keen to solicit the opinions and expertise of other important stakeholders in the sector. NRW is one of the most prominent organisations involved in flood prevention activity in Wales, and we note that your Corporate Plan to 2030 highlights the increasing role that NRW will play in advocacy.                                   

We would be grateful if you could consider whether NRW, and specifically the Flood sub-committee, could provide your own views on our recommendations and on the Welsh Government’s response. We’d welcome a discussion if you feel that would be of benefit.
