The National Infrastructure Commission for Wales was tasked by Welsh Government with making recommendations for rapidly accelerating the deployment of renewable energy in Wales.

After undertaking research during 2022 and 2023, we published our report on 17 October 2023. We emailed several of your colleagues shortly after the report publication to highlight that Ofgem was named as the target of one of our recommendations, but received no response.

We will shortly be meeting with the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and the Welsh Language, and wanted to give you the opportunity to respond to our recommendation prior to that meeting.
