Dear Cabinet Secretary,

We would like to offer our congratulations on your appointment as Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Local Government and Planning, and for continuing your relationship with, and ministerial responsibility for, the National Infrastructure Commission for Wales (NICW).

As you know, we completed our work on renewable energy last year and we hope that our forthcoming work on flooding will be of interest - and challenge - to you, your ministerial colleagues and Welsh Government officials. We aim to publish the report in October.

We understand that you will doubtless be busy in the amended brief but would appreciate an opportunity to discuss our current and future work priorities; funding options and the implications for our current terms, which are due to end this autumn for the Chair, and in June 2025 for the rest of the Commissioners.
